Tips for not forgetting your medication in summer:
- Keep a list of all your medications. You can use a small notebook or a smartphone to track all changes.
- Take your meds at the same time every day. Those times might coincide with your morning coffee or meals, after brushing your teeth or a shower, or at bedtime.
- Use a pillbox with the days of the week. Keep your pillbox in a visible place, such as the kitchen table, and away from moisture, heat and light. Please note that some medicines may be affected by high temperatures; those medicines marked as such on their packaging should be kept refrigerated, between 2 and 8ºC.
- Place the medication in a strategic location. For example, if your treatment is a once-daily dose and you have to take it in the evening, place the package on the bedside table.
